The Journey of Discovering Inner Peace
March 20, 2018. Welcome to my blog! Today is the Spring Equinox, which is also known as the astrological New Year. For the past few years, I have thought that the first day of spring was a great time to launch a blog and now I have finally fully committed to the process. For those of you who may not know me, my name is Dr. Christina. I am a practicing psychologist, speaker and author of Discovering Inner Peace. I have over ten years of experience as a psychologist in Chicago. For the last year, I have been working on my second book with the hopes of publishing it soon. The focus of this blog is to share with you some wisdom that I have learned along the way as well as some excerpts of my upcoming book.
I believe that we are all wounded. No matter who we are, where we come from, what our stories are, we have all endured trauma and carry the scars from our life journey. No matter what our age, gender, race, ethnic background, socio-economic status, we all suffer. We all experience sadness, anxiety, anger, abandonment, hopelessness, frustration, resentment and health issues. Our wounds are what we all share. On our journey here on earth, we are all trying our best to cope with our suffering that comes with the human experience. All of us, to some extent, seek to escape our pain through either the pursuit of pleasure or through avoidance or minimization. However, no matter how much we try to escape, our pain is still there. But some of us have this inner voice, this inner knowing that speaks to us. It’s the voice of the inner warrior that is compels us to dig deeper and to look at our pain because on some level, we know we can transcend it. Within this blog, I will be providing you with ideas, exercises, quotes and so much more. I hope that my blog can help you along your journey of self-discovery. Discovering Inner Peace: A psychological, philosophical and spiritual perspective to self-enlightenment.
Imagine feeling free — free from all those things that create your suffering: your thoughts, your feelings, external stressors, and so many other things. Imagine living a life where you are in control: creating the life that you want, not bound by fear, sadness, or guilt. Imagine feeling strong and powerful; that no matter what may come your way, you can conquer it. Imagine trusting that the universe will lead you where you need to go. Imagine believing that you already have everything you ever needed. This is inner peace. This book will be your guide in your journey of discovering inner peace. You will discover that life is not merely the pursuit of happiness, but the discovery of inner peace. You will learn how to heal from your past and how to apply philosophical and spiritual wisdom into your daily life to help you live more consciously.
In my book, I explain how to discover inner peace by providing a psychological, philosophical and spiritual approach to self-enlightenment. This book is for anyone who is interested in starting or continuing the process of self-discovery. I illustrate a unique method that integrates various schools of thought and provides a step by step approach of discovering inner peace. I describe the psychological process of healing and provides techniques to assist in incorporating philosophical and spiritual ideas into everyday life. Transform your life today! Our childhood experiences shape our views about ourselves and the world. These experiences can be accompanied by emotional pain, which is registered in our cellular memory. How we appraise current reality triggers pain that is already there. We are responsible for our own healing and have the power to change our belief systems and heal our emotional scars. Within our therapeutic work, I will help you understand your story, how this story impacts you in the here and now and how it has shaped your belief systems on a conscious and subconscious level. Together, we will explore and process your story, begin to create a new set of belief systems and help you heal emotional pain with the use of mind-body interventions such as NET and hypnosis.
